Well, we recently added a captcha that users have to fill out on registration. Seems that isn’t enough to stop these spammers.

And so an idea occurs…

I thought of a kind of cool idea. In addition to this captcha, we could have one of those questions like “what’s 2 plus 1?”. Above the answer field we’d have an image which says something like “Answer the question”. I’m hoping the spam bots would think this image is another captcha, and type “Answer the question” into the answer field instead of the actual answer to 2 plus 1. Of course humans, would realize that this image is not infact another captcha, and simple a clarifying message. Might work
